Firefly To Launch JB-Ipoh Service On Sept 15

JOHOR BAHARU, July 11 (Bernama) -- Firefly Bhd will begin flights from Johor Baharu (JB) to Ipoh from Sept 15.

Chief Executive Officer Ignatius Ong said the domestic route was the third from JB, after flights to Subang and Kota Baharu.

"The JB-Ipoh flights will be on Mondays, Wednesdays,Fridays and on Sunday," he told reporters after announcing the launch of the flight in conjunction with the Malaysia International Travel Mart (MITM) Fair 2014 here Friday.

He said when bookings opened last month, 45 per cent of seats had been taken up for the inaugural flight. The fare for a one-way flight from JB-Ipoh, inclusive of taxes, is a low RM69.
